Stavroula Ntaountaki qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2017 with a BSc in Physiotherapy from the Technological Educational institute of Western Greece. Stavroula is currently undertaking a Postgraduate Certificate in Sensory Integration from the Sheffield Hallam University.
She started working with children in her home country in Greece and now, as well as working for PT Kids, Stavroula also works for the NHS as a Paediatric Physiotherapist in Leeds. As well as having lots of experience delivering physiotherapy, Stavroula also has experience working closely with other professionals delivering speech therapy, occupational therapy, therapeutic swimming, psychology, and sensory integration sessions.
She has a Certificate of Attendance from the Halliwick Foundation Course, which is an approach teaching people how to participate in water activities, for therapy, to independently move in water and to swim. She has also completed the Kids and Teens Pilates course (APPI) in England.
Stavroula has experience working with children aged 0-19 with various Neurodevelopmental conditions including Cerebral Palsy, Coordination disorders, Down’s Syndrome, Muscular Dystrophy, Congenital Disorders and Autism. Stavroula also has experience working with other members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure that a holistic and effective approach is provided towards patient care.
Stavroula currently works in a variety of Mainstream and Specialist schools, and she also works with children and families in their own home. Stavroula works with a positive and friendly approach making every effort to achieve the therapy goals. She enjoys learning and regularly attends courses and conferences in order to keep her skills and knowledge base up to date.
